Who are the Coventry Partnership's Communities of Interest?

Communities of Interest are the communites targeted for support within the Community Plan.

There are 12 Communities of Interest identfied some of which are self creating and others are prescribed by authorities.

The following city-wide communities of interest have been identfied as those who are experiencing the greatest level of disadvantage, but whose need are not being specifically addressed at a neighbourhood level.

  • Older People Experiencing Isolation and Poverty - Older People's Partnership
  • People with Learning disabilities - Learning Disability Partnership
  • Disabled People 
  • Ex-Offenders
  • Homeless People
  • Looked after Children (Children and young people in the care of social services)
  • Disaffected young people
  • People from the most disadvantaged Black and minority ethnic groups
  • People experiencing mental ill-health
  • Teenage parents and their children
  • Women and children experiencing domestic violence

The Partnership's Support Officers are undertaking research  looking at the evidenced needs and issues of Communities of Interest within the city of Coventry.
