The overall purpose of the PIE group is to:
To ensure that evidence is collected, analysed and made available to the Coventry Partnership to provide a thorough understanding about the 'Coventry Story' for use in the ongoing development of the Sustainable Community Strategy.
To be responsible for providing the Coventry Partnership with research and analysis needed to support good quality decision making, including:
1. Compiling and updating a 'Story of Place' for the Annual Area Assessment;
2. Overseeing the co-ordination of strategic assessments that need to inform the Annual Area Assessment, including the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment of Health and Social Care, the Community Safety Strategic Assessment, Economic Assessments, and the Children and Young People's Annual Performance Assessment;
3. Overseeing the co-ordination of joint work across partner organisation to include strategic consultations, strategic assessments / evaluations and strategic primary research that is needed to inform development of the Sustainable Community Strategy;
4. Commissioning work to fill gaps in research and analysis needed for the Coventry Story – e.g. demographic profiling, community cohesion evaluation, neighbourhood profiling, resident perceptions about quality of life;
5. Analysis of data to support quarterly performance monitoring of the Local Area Agreement;
6. Setting up and overseeing a programme of activities for a Research & Consultation Network and Reference Group.
7. Identifying individuals that will undertake work commissioned or support PIE Network events
Membership will include a small group partners drawn from organisations reporting through the Comprehensive Area Assessment and will be at a senior level with responsibility for commissioning research & analysis.
