Children & Young People's Strategic Partnership

Coventry's Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership

Who are we?

Children and Young People's Stratetgic PartnershipCoventry’s Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership is a group of organisations working together to improve the lives of children and young people in the city.

This means that the organisations involved with providing services to children - from hospitals and schools, to police and voluntary groups - will be teaming up in new ways, sharing information and working together, to protect children and young people from harm and help them achieve what they want in life.

In addition the partnership will be giving children and young people far more say about issues that affect them as individuals and collectively.

What do we do?

Coventry’s Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership By working together across the city we know we can do a better job to meet the needs of children, young people, their families and carers.

We want to listen to what children and young people have to say about their needs and we want to work in partnership to make a real difference to lives in Coventry.

The partnership is made up of partners including Coventry City Council, the teaching Primary Care Trust (tPCT) University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire, Police, Connexions, Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and representatives of the voluntary sector.

The partnership meets six times a year to review work carried out and plan for the future. The Chair is Stella Manzie, Chief Executive, Coventry City Council and the Vice Chairs are the Chief Executives of the tPCT.

A series of working groups have been set up that have been meeting regularly to look at various aspects of improving services to children and young people.
