Community Safety Partnership's logo

The Theme Group the 'Coventry Community Safety Partnership' aims to reduce crime, the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour. The group has representatives from Coventry City Council’s Community Safety Team, Coventry Teaching Primary Care Trust, West Midlands Police, Youth Offending etc.

The group’s priorities are to:

  • Reducing crime, the fear of crime, and anti-social behaviour.
  • Reducing the misuse of alcohol and drugs
  • Providing additional support to protect Young People and Children from harm.

In order to achieve this they are working towards a number of outcomes:

  1. By 2010 there will be less crime and anti-social behaviour and people will feel safer, these improvements will be felt fastest in our priority neighbourhoods
  2. By 2010 there will be more support for people who misuse alcohol and drugs
  3. By 2010 children will be less likely to experience harm
